We spend so much
time staring
into the darkness
that we forget
that all
that shines
above us
also shines
within
us.

I think I
am comforted
by the fact
that even if
I
was broken to
bits,
each and every
bit
would sing your
name.

Reflections on the first few chapters of Mere Christianity
If civilizations old and new,
ancient and modern,
savage and civilized,
all share a similar morality, then what?
There must be a standard beyond our little world,
a Truth that is beyond and above our scheming ways,
a Light that shines in every dark corner.
The existence of such a Light, such a Truth,
causes me to think,
there must be another reality.
And if that reality exists without human virtue or vice,
than something must have created that reality.
I think that something is God.
Because of my integrity you uphold me Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, ~Psalm 41:12-13
and set me in your presence forever.
from everlasting to everlasting.
Amen and Amen.
In my weakness,
you are strength.
In dark chaos,
a shining light.
In temptation,
a guiding voice.
In my mistakes,
a saving grace.
In the mess that is my life,
when brokenness is overwhelming,
you raise my head to look upon your glory.
I will trade the ashes of this world,
for the beauty that is You.
Be mine forevermore.
